A Saturday Afternoon: Best Ways to Unwind and Recharge for the Week

[Notes: The saturday afternoon you refer to what you did and saw in that afternoon.]

I

t was a saturday afternoon in the month of June. I had just come back from school. I was tired in mind and body, and the sultry heat of the day made me feel rather indisposed. Suddenly Amal, a friend of mine came in and asked me, "What are you doing?" "Nothing", I said. Then he proposed "Let us go for a walk by the river-side. This will give us relief from the oppressive heat." I readily agreed..

We wlaked to the river side. The sun was setting. A gentle breeze was blowing. The birds were winging thier way home. There were ripples on the river. Men and women were bathing in the river after their day's toil. A few boys were sprinkling water towards each other. Fishermen were catching fishes. Boats were ferrying people across the river. These beautiful sights refreshed my mind.

A quarter passed. Then we decided to go to the village on the other side of the river and see the temple of the Goddess Kali established by Rani Rashmani. We went to the ferry-ghat and boarded the boat. When we were on the mid-river, we saw the sun sink into the western horizon like a big golden disc. The sight of sunset charmed us. We got down from the boat, and went to the temple. We saw the awe-inspiring image of goddess and prayed to her. It was fairly dark when we came back to the ferryghat. Thus I had a pleasant afternoon.
