an lives in Society. So he cannot but pick up acquaintance with those who live near him and work with him. This acquiantance sometimes develops into friendship. You will never find a friendless man. Even hermitshave friends. I, too have friends.
Subodh is my intimate friend. He is my next-door neighbour. He has been my friend since my boyhood. He comes of a poor family. But he is very meritorious. He passed the Madhyamik Examination in the first division and stood second in the district. He is kind and sympathetic. He ever volunteers his services for men and women in trouble. He is of a strong build and a good footballer. I love him dearly. I cannot pass even a single day without him. Both he and I move, read and play together. My next best friend is Puspen. He is a complete foil to Subodh. He is the son of a rich man. He is neither intelligent nor diligent.He loves to pass his time in idle gossip. He often goes out for hunting birds with his gun. So he fares badlyin the examinations. But he loves his friends very much and is ever ready to sacrifice his life for their sake.
I have some other friends. They are Shymal, Kamal, Bimal, Mantu, Rina and Bina. But my friendship with them is not deep. We enjoy each other's company when we meet, but we forget each other when we separate.
