A Dramatic Performance I Have Seen: A Detailed Review and Experience
[Notes: Occasion arrival of a theatrical company in your town staged famous plays. The play you saw its plot its lesson the performance of major roles -lighting arrangement.]
Last month a theatrical company came to our town and staged some famous play of Shakespeare in the local Moon Theater. I went to the theatre the day Macbeth was staged.
The plot of Macbeth is an impressive one. It is full of suspense. Thrilling incidents succeed one after another with the speed of a tempest. The witches appear amidst thunder and lightning; the ghost comes and sits on the chair. One man murders another in the darkness of night. There are also scenes of conspiracies, battles, incantations. The play depicts the fearful consequences of inordinate ambition.
Macbeth, the hero of the play, kills Duncan and becomes the king of Scotland. But he is not happy. He finds himself surrounded by dangers. He puts to death those he suspects to be conspiring against him. At last some of the lords (উচ্চ পদস্থ জমিদার) rise in revolt and kills him.
The drama is worth seeing for its thrilling subject-matter and the great truth of life it illustrates. But its impressiveness was greatly enhanced by the performance of the actor and actress who appeared in the roles of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. The expression of fear and bewilderment the actor wore on his face when he saw the air-drawn (বায়ু চালিত) dagger and the ghost of Banquo was wonderful. The actress was a well-known figure in the theatrical world (নাট্য জগৎ). The lighting arrangement was also good. On the whole, the performance was a grand one. (248 words)
