I first visited the Engineering stalls. I moved from stall to stall and saw the various goods manufactured in different industrial concerns .of India. I saw different types of sewing machines, ceiling and table fans, printing machines, motors, pumping and engraving machines. But the stall which attracted the visitors most was the one where the West Bengal Government put on show the models and designs of the various projects undertaking by it.

I then walked to the stall exhibiting the articles of small and cottage industries. In one of these stalls I saw the silk clothes of Murshidabad. The fine finish and quality of the silk saris caused us wonder. I also visited the stalls exhibiting the handloom textiles of Dhanekhali, Santipur and Malda. Ample provisions were made for amusement. There was a miniature train fitted with an engine and four coaches. The children crowded there to get into it and enjoy a miniature journey by train. The exhibition showed the great industrial progress India had made since her indeperdence.
