A MAGIC SHOW YOU HAVE SEEN OR A CONJURING ENTERTAINMENT

The other day I had been to a magic show. The show was performed by the popular magician, B.Rajan and his party at the Town Hall. The hall was jam-packed with men, women and children. The magician was an old man with a grey beard. After a few minor tricks done with cards and balls he proceeded to the famous mango-trick. The magician took an old, dry mango-stone, put it underground, and covered it with a cloth. He then muttered some unintelligible words, and took away the cloth. We saw a mango-sapling had come out from the ground.
Next, the basket trick was performed. A shallow, round basket was brought in. A boy entered into it and lay down. The lid was put on and the basket was covered with a cloth. The magician then pierced the basket with a sword thrice. The cloth was then removed. The basket was opened, and it was empty. A few minutes after the boy came in from behind the crowd.
Last of all, the magician did the ring-trick. He took my ring, tied it up tightly in a handkerchief, and gave it to me to hold. I held it tightly between my finger and thumb. He then told me to shake the handkerchief. I did so. Then I examined the handkerchief and found that the ring was gone. He then picked up an orange lying on the ground away from him and cut it open. To my surprise, I found the ring in it. The tricks sent me wondering.
